Tweeter Wiring?

Tweeter Wiring?

Postby solaratony » Sat Jan 20, 2007 11:10 pm

I was wondering if anyone could tell me which wires were negative and which ones were positive on the tweeter wiring in my '99 SLE V6? I tried putting in some new tweets before Xmas, and I got them wired up, but I didn't know which was which in the car. When they were hooked up, there was sound, but just barely, which made me think I had it backwards.

Anywhoos, any input would be appreciated. Thanks

Tony

I might be wrong but If your putting tweeter on our stock JBL system, your putting a what 75watt tweet on a stock tweet that maybe only get 10watts. Maybe thats why its not loud.

Oh, no I have a JVC head unit, with aftermarket speakers. Except the tweeters which can't handle the power from the JVC unit. The tweeters I bought are just some cheap ones from Wal Mart, that I just bought to see if they might improve the sound a bit w/o having to spend a crapton of money.

So, I was just wondering if anybody knows what wire is positive and negative on the tweeters. Thanks!!
