With the cost of land, there are fewer and fewer breakers (junkyards). Victory Auto Wreckers in Bensenville is the only one I'm aware of in your area.

Slightly off topic, but an idea for rebuilding your Solara can be found right here.

How is it the passenger door won't open fully? Did you get any damage on that side as well? Could it be some frame damage after all? Hope you get it all taken care of.

Good Luck

if you are talking bout the passenger door, the frame shifts to the left diagonally across the engine bay right along the door hinges and frame, thus 90% of the time, would require frame realignment. at least mine will. and that,,,, friend is where sh*t happens, since labor.......is another story

Ugh, the door dosent open fully because the fender gets in the way. You think its beause the frame shifted? or becaue the fender got bent, due the the bumper moving to the right?

damage control

Postby aleki2424 » Wed Jan 24, 2007 9:03 am

hehehehe, even mine has the lil' white container sitcking down(bottom right.. guess i have to post pictures .
mine had a whole frame shift, thats why my door won't open. but assuming the little crumple zone on yours wasn't pushed in, then i'd cross my fingers and hope you only need a fender replacement. :drinking:
the hood dosent look like it needs replacement though, not that bent....unless insurance is covering it.
