- Lower the car (most important)...(some spring$ or coilover$$$)
- Get some 18's or 19's rims (I don't like black on black on pics I saw...maybe a question of taste or maybe in real it is pretty hot)
- TRD lip kit
- CP-e MAFci intake

No more grandma anymore !!

Go see cardomain.com and seek for 1999-2003 Toyota Solara...there is really nice setup !!

with Gen 2 wheels

not sure which wheels fresco has.... however if you lower your car you can do so a couple ways:

1: tein or eibach lowering springs with kyb or tokico struts. you can lower you car without the aftermarket struts but most would advise against it. springs/struts installed would be around $600

2: tein coilovers. this would be the best way to go. theyre adjustable, no need to buy lowering springs, better handling.
these will run about $1100 uninstalled.

stainless wrote:ok im pretty confused now lol, after doing some research I think im going to pass on the body kit. Its just to expensive after painting + shipping.

This is pretty much what I want

- Fresco Bob's rims on my current tires (if this is even possible)
- and to lower my car

you cannot have larger wheels on smaller tires. it will in NO way shape or form work. im thinking frescos wheels are atleast 17's so if you want them then you have to buy new tires as well. your stock 16's will not fit!

16" rim has to be on an 16" tire
17" rim has to be on an 17" tire
18" rim has to be on an 18" tire
etc..
etc...

Suggestion

Postby JMSinMaryland » Wed Jan 31, 2007 12:14 pm

Remove all the rear and side emblems. Lower the car properly. Tint as you said at least 20%. 16" tires for winter, 18" for summer.

lol youre going to learn a lot about the solara here,

the sle came with 16" wheels stock
the se came with 15" wheels stock (unless upgraded to trd or sle options)

so you have 16" wheels

If you keep your eye out you can usually find some used rims and tires on here or other message boards. Theres lots between 400-1000, and it will cost you around 400-600 to lower it.

I say lower it first, you will be amazed at the difference it makes in the look of your car. And you can get the TRD rear sway bar, which will significantly tighten up the handling of you car too. That can be had for around $150, and some have said its the best bang-for-your-buck mod you can find.
