so.... about a month ago, i got run into in the school parking lot. all her fault and such and just need to find a place where they will pay to get it fixed. Belive it or not the dealership estimated the damage at $1,281.00 and a body shop near me estimated at $1,553.00

Image

then today, i was on my way to pick my girlfriend up and take her to school. I was going 60 in a 55 where most people go 65, and i was in the left lane. Well this 16yr old white girl pulled out of her neighborhood in a 2000 Mercedes Benz C230 and went straight across into the left lane and i locked the brakes up (4 long dark black marks) and got as far over towards the median as i could without running into the grass and still scraped the side of my car with hers. here are 2 pics of the damage.

So now i have flat spots on all 4 tires and it feels like i'm drivin some hoopdy. Can't open the passenger door more than a foot without breaking something. Haven't been on here in a while and thought i'd give u guys the horrible news.

Sounds like you need to stay away from women drivers. Who was considered at fault on the c230 crash.

Very sad. Shouldn't the ABS prevent flatspotting/locking up?

Regardless, I hope her daddy's insurance takes good care of the repair. That lane drift move is one that ticks me off most. Had one cross 2 lanes at 15 mph on a 55mph road but luckily I was in a Suburban at the time. Barely slowed down in time but then gave him a little love tap to tell him he's a moron.
Make sure she gets the heat for it even if it means court.

That's a crazy accident, glad you're okay.

Not all Solara's came with ABS standard.

Women drivers are scary. Women have a hard time judging the speed of a moving car and even a harder time measuring the distance of a moving object. This is why insurance for women are typically more expensive :)

I thought insurance rates were higher for men... especially teen males.

I think the more defining factor in both of his accidents is that the drivers were young, not that they were women.

Women are catching up fast epically women in SUVs they are one of the highest insurance brackets. Probably because they rely on the size of their truck instead of good driving skills.

Man I feel your pain. My daughter totaled her Neon last Sep, my wife got the front end on her Pathfinder smacked in Jan, then last week my hood flew open my Solara. I'm damn near ready to buy bikes for the whole family.

Sux - sounds like her fault for sure. Did you get a police report?

Also - thought you had an '07 from the thread title - must just not be a lucky "year" so far eh?

Better luck your way! ;)

Agreed. When I got my passenger's rear quarter crushed in it was a woman in a huge tahoe that never even looked behind her while pulling out of the parking spot. She had no damage.
