running lights wont turn on?

running lights wont turn on?

I replaced my bumper, fender, headlights and sidemarker lights. I bought these horrible "JDM black diamond headlights"
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/99-00-01 ... enameZWDVW
(if your considering getting these, DONT! you get like 20 ft of illumination with the low beams)

After I get everything put back together I noticed that whenever I lock/unlock the car with the fob I no longer get the running light blink. I found it odd but disregarded it. Then tonight I get pulled over b/c my rear running lights arent on. Brake and turn signals work but they dont turn on when the headlights turn on. Same with the front side markers. My dash lights work fine.

Any ideas?

check harness?

another thing, check your fuse. the one in the coin holder, left side, below your vent next to your turn signal switch/instrument dimmer.

pull that out, and check for the fuse that belongs it. It could be blown. I had the same issue before and it turned out it was my fuse. 10 amp or something fuse I think.

good luck.

DO NOT BUY THESE AFTERMARKET HEADLIGHTS!!!!!

The ones I bought gave me quite the headache. The headlights give you maybe 20 ft of illumination and the side marker/turn signal lights suck!!! I realized they were burning out the running light fuse (behind the coin tray thingy). After dicking around for 2 hours with an ohmmeter and my dad(who is an electrician) we figured out that the harness that connects the turn signal bulbs with the existing car plug creates a short. I had to dig out my old OEM turn signal connectors to get them to stay on. That ebay seller will be getting one negative review!!

Buyer beware!

The black headlights come turned all the way down. You need to turn them up with the adjusters so you can see. I agree they are worse than stock, but they arent that bad once u turn them up.

I did aim them. When I originally put them in they were aimed straight down to the ground. Even after I aimed them they still dont provide sufficient illumination. I might try throwing some silverstars in there, maybe its just a really cheap bulb that they ship with it.
