Flamethrower exhaust

I don't know why you want it for your Solara but he uses it to scorch people's bumpers when they are too close.

naw; seriously look at what a hotrod professional said:

Here's a hack that's been around since the very start of the hot rod movement. Car exhaust flame throwers work by interrupting the spark to the engine. This dumps raw fuel into the exhaust system. The fuel is ignited by a coil and spark plug placed right before the exhaust tip. Doing this will shorten the life of your engine (and pedestrians). The raw fuel strips the oil off the cylinder walls and contaminates the oil causing more wear and tear. Also, this mod can't be used on a fuel injected car. It would foul the O2 sensors and catalytic converter.

I think you should go back and read BOTH the RICER thread, and your Owners Manual on Preventative Maintenance 101...

On the OTHER hand, if you wanna REALLY impress your friends, drain your oil and TAP OUT THE REV LIMITER until SMOKE POURS OUT 'YER PIPE and the ENGINE SIEZES OR THROWS A ROD...... THAT'LL make a good SHOW for your peanut gallery on-lookers... (They'll be the same crowd that wants to see the "FLAME-THROWER-SOLARA".... 8)

-1 for your annual performance review... we may just have to send you to the KINGS COURT for an "OFFING OF THE HEAD" judgement....

Read, it burns the unburnt fuel coming through the exhaust.... just make sure you face it toward your seat..... LOL

READ THE FAQs listed above.

Not only will it not work well with a fuel injected car, but you'll also have to remove your Cat!

I've only seen this on old, fat hot rods - big V8 with lots of rumble. Can't see it on a li'l import IMO.
