Installing an Intake

Sebas007 wrote:Quick...what is the difference on your car setup between your 2 dyno runs ?? The pulley only ?

No. That was when I had my Apex'i S-AFCII installed. I guess he did one run, tuned it and did another.
I still need to do more fuel upgrades to accomadate the 7psi.
I DO have a blown knock sensor. I bought Jim's fuel upgrade, but haven't installed it yet. I haven't installed it yet because I am going to completely follow Jims footsteps. The Aeromotive regulator, the Bosch fuel pump, the Golan Filter, fabricate a fuel return and Supra injectors. Then, I'll do another dyno run. I just bought a Yaris, so I have a car payment. Money isn't rushing in as fast as I'd like, but give me a little time. I'll have one of the best Solaras on this forum.

^^^ Which Supra injectors will you be using.... the 440's or 550's?

I'm planning on getting some blue-printed RC Engineering 560cc injectors when I (FINALLY) get back to working on the supra some more again... I HAVE to get the 560's if I want to reach my 500WHP goal with the car.

Reason I ask... I MIGHT have some 440's come spring... They are very clean, with less than 80k on them... been off several times, and carefully cleaned and re-seated with new gromets, etc... two of the times.

WAAAHHHHhhhh ha ha ha!!! JOKING!!!

Seriously, your setup is nice! You may already have done so in the past before I arrived here, but do you have some photos of your car, engine bay, etc...? Specs? I'd like to see more.

Thank you so much. I appreciate everyones compliments. I posted these two pics once before and got only one reply on it, so I didn't think much of it.

I may take and post more pics of it tomorrow. The installer was also going to install some neon lights within the battery box to show it off.

I used to have a lot more money, and I wanted to take my car to shows.
I got laid off of my job and took some jobs that didn't pay anywhere near what I used to make. I got myself into some deep debt which I am only now able to rebound from.
I have a good job that pays extremely well now, so now I can get back to my hobby of modding my car.
I really don't like talking about future plans, because if it doesn't work out, I feel foolish. But here was what the audio was supposed to be:
3 optima yellow tops trunk mounted (complete)
Solara completely lined with Dynomat (complete)
Rewired entire system with Hooker wires (complete)
Alpine CDA-7995 (complete - top of the line at the time)
4 Diamond audio HEX S600 silk - 6.5" Component Set (complete)
Custom made sub enclosure - built, but not installed
2 Diamond Audio D9 subwoofers - (not yet)
4 Diamond Audio amps (only got 1 so far) 2 to power subs and 2 to power component speakers.
Remote Starter and alarm (complete) I forgot the brand, but it was top of the line at the time.

As far as the rest of my automotive modding, I'll just post it as it happens. I have big plans and I'll feel foolish if it doesn't happen

Here is a quote I was able to save from "Camryman.org"

Jim@foreignaffairs posted this:
I have upgraded my injectors to the Supra non-turbo injector. They flow 15% more fuel at the same duty cycle, and their maximum flow is 10% higher. They are a direct fit. Underdog racing has a set of Bosch injectors they recommend as an upgrade, and though they require a change in the plug, those are an option. I have no direct experience with them, I don't know how their flow compares to stock. I tried a couple years ago to find a source for rebuilt Supra injectors, but after many months on backorder, they have never become available due to a lack of cores. I purchased them new. The part number is 23209-46050.

I don't know if that answered your question, but those are the ones I'll be installing.

Are you running a 1MZ-FE?
These injectors I listed should be more than enough for me. In fact, they are too much for the stock fuel pump. Thats why I'm upgrading the entire fuel system.

What are your plans?

Nice setup man !!! Very clean and useful.

I just read your sig...I never drove a car on boost...7 psi for 1MZ-FE is the most I saw on SG. I would like to have 7 psi of boost on my 3MZ-FE but sadly it would be really too costy to do my own turbo or SC, tune the CAMCOM and all the stuff around.

Congrats to be the boost king of SG ! ;)

Here is where I got my pulley:
http://www.pulleyboys.com/trd_camry3.4l.html

I see they now offer an 8psi pulley. I may have to upgrade. ha ha

^^^^

Funny that they sell pulley for only 3.4L Camry & Solara ;)
V6 3.4L was use in the old Tacoma isn't it ?

I really dislike when seller just don't make it clean. I've less confidence in them then.

I agree with you, but thats a new webpage. When I got mine (4 years ago) it looked all professional. I also got the black anodized one. I'm very happy with it.
