Magnecor vs. NGK

I've got a question, I have NGK blue wires brand new, and have an SC waiting for install. Would the NGK be as good as the Magnecor wires? Or would it be better just to go with Magnecor becuase its been the most popular choice?

Just because it is most popular doesn't mean its the best. The main reason everyone uses the magnecors is because they were around first. The NGKs only came out recently.

The magnecors do provide a larger wire (8.5MM) but that may be unnecessary. Essentially the wires are for peace of mind and partially as an insurance policy when upgrading pulleys but the stock toyota wires are pretty good. For the money you can't beat the NGKs but you could always spend a few bucks more and get the magnecors

those NGK's should do just fine. yanks got the magnacore wires, and they're doing okay too. me personally, i have the NGK's...i think NASTY said the magnacore's thickness was a little TOO much insurance.

never hurts to be over-safe though! :wink:

I hear plasma booster from ignition solution works very well and it worth it for perfromance and realiable.

Yea I'm gonna get the plasma booster as well. Still unsure of the NGKs I'd rather be too safe than jsut enough... ahh

Yes they will work but as per your advice and many other people for extra insurance you should get upgraded wires. I personally agree that the stock wires are fine but with the plasma booster i'd say get the upgraded wires

No gains. Only gain you get is piece of mind for efficiency.
