New Brakes...how much?

How much should new brake pads + installation cost me, Front and back.

Pepboys was saying like 300...is that correct? i thought brakepads were cheaper? i doubt labor would be like 250!

OEM brake pads for 55$ and labor for $30

Thats just for front. And I have a feeling labor rate in north Jersey's a bit more steep.

Its not that hard to DIY, but it is pretty cold out so its probably gunna suck unless you have a garage. Id say 250-300 is the right range for front+rear.

Just so you know, you don't usually need to change the rear brakes for a long time. The rear brakes only do 10% of the braking, so they wear a lot slower than the front. You can chop the cost in half for just front.
