i'm just working up at UCSD. Hmm, strange, the struts affect your ride height? It's only the springs that control the ride height... the struts are just there to dampen the chasis from the roads, it doesn't control the height. But that's cool that you're getting the hook-ups for the alignment. Yeah man, fo reals, we gotta go kick it sometime, maybe next time i go cruising my friends, i can call you or something. Yeah...

haha, probably cuz you got the money to go through a lot of tires... Must be fun to always be getting new tires to ride on.

But then again, you might be one of the lucky few who don't throw off the alignment when you took off the struts and put it back on... lucky you...

I haven't had any problems whatsoever with TRD suspension parts. Granted, this likely stems in no small part to the fact that I do not have them installed. But with that one caveat noted, my experience has been beyond trouble-free.

Wasent it said that you need to change out your strut mounts if you get TRD struts and theres noise?

Also, in the TUT section, there was mention of somthing like a 'strut isolator' that had to be put in between the strut mount and the nut...?

QUOTE:::
"
You will also be installing a vibration isolator onto the shock hat. The isolator takes out unnecessary air space by stiffening the spring rate. You will only be doing this step for the front suspension, as the rear does not necessitate the usage of a new isolator. TRD provides the tool needed to compress the rubber isolator into the shock hat. Tighten it down and pinch the isolator while inserting at the top of the mount. Use silicone to aid the install. Do not use WD-40. Align the rubber plate boot with the help of the arrows on top of the plate and compress. "

Haha, I have no experience with TRD or the 'problems' with the TRD struts. I dont exactly know what a vibration isolator is either, maybe some rubber washer, i dont know. Just somthing I saw and wanted to point out.

Ruskimafia, i dont think you need a vibration isolator. I think its just a thing with the TRDs. There was also mention that when you get TRDs you need to get new strut mounts, i think Monroe makes those. I think your KYBs should be fine. We'll have to ride out eachothers solara's during the next Maryland meet.
