Clicking in front when I turn the wheel.

Clicking in front when I turn the wheel.

Postby kaarona1 » Tue Feb 20, 2007 9:29 am

I have had this clicking (sounds like it comes from the front end - maybe strut mounts or suspension) noice when I turn the wheel, moving forward and when I am stopped. Since I am replacing the rear sway bar links/busings and control arm bushing, I was wondering if anyone may shed some light on the problem. If it is suspension related, I may just fix it at the same time as the rears.

Car has 120k miles and replaced front struts and mounts about 10k milese ago and I just replaced the rear struts and mounts.

Help!!

Strut mounts

Postby jon015 » Tue Feb 20, 2007 1:31 pm

Sometimes before i replaced my strut mounts, i remember when i turned or went over bumps i had clicking and or little lisps, and when i replaced my mounts, it went away, most likely its your mounts. Check your CV joints too, but when my mom had her CV joint replaced before, we didn't hear or feel anything until the mechanic actually pointed it out.

Strut and strut mounts are your problem. Strut mount was not seated orrectly along with the spring. This is your best bet, check it, and thank me later. ha
