I am interested in this 01 sc'ed solara on ebay..i know that it has had the front drivers fender replaced, because i talked with the dealer...my question is, is there anybody in the redwood city area that would be willing to go and check this car out for me? maybe take some pictures, i would be willing to pay something for this service! it has really low miles and is exactly what i want to get..but i live in illinois not cali....and don't really like the ebay idea of buying a car! thanks

Redwood City is South of SF near Menlo Park off the 101.

Nice 5-6 hour drive for ya Milt - have a fun trip! :lol:

yeah it was just a shot in the dark...the dealer said that he would be happy to have someone come and look at it, but i didn't really know where some of you guys are located in cali! thanks for the offer though milt! i sure don't expect anyone to drive that far! haha :-?

Well you know that factory SC part is a lie. Toyota did not put one Solara off the line with a SC installed.

i know i saw that, but i can see how a used car dealer would mistake that since it is a trd supercharger, that might have been installed by the toyota dealership! good thinkin though!

well...thats true but there were a lot of "gulf states" cars that got the port installed TRD option. Those cars are as close to factory supercharged as any solara will every be. Thats also how some cars came "stock" with the body kit and/or springs/struts.

I believe stage 1 TRD was: body kit, stage 2 was body kit + springs/struts, stage 3 was all + sc (not sure if that is 100% correct though but it went something like that)
