sigh.......haha.... since i never really did have any luck with that "gray connector"...jus do this... before you completely lower your e-brake...leave it one notch up. Your ebrake is still disengaged but the sensor is still off while you drive. Havent you noticed that your DRL's turn on when you put down your e-brake?. hope this helps neone.

that's the stupidest way to keep your DRL from coming on. Do it the right way, unplug the gray plug.

if you try this at dusk or in a dark garage, the lights will still pop on because of another sensor that does just that. Trust the gray connector disconnect. it works!

Yup, thats where you can disable the light sensor located at the passenger side nearest the windshield.

Hmm...ryte, I know you are respected in this community of Solara drivers flip, but I don't like how you totally dissed my method for disengaging the DRLs. I felt that it was totally unprofessional coming from an individual that stresses professionalism. I know Im being a little pretentious, but I pride myself in the whole, E-Brake thing, certainly others have discovered that already, but that is beside the point. I mean, some people out there just might be unwilling to go under their hood and pop off that gray connector coz their afraid to jack something up.
I know said I had a little trouble with my connector. It was only because when I took mine off, my lights turned on all the way and I couldnt switch it off. I just hope no emnity stems from this post, I just wanna say something back.

hey john,

1st. please register. you could have taken this to pm if you wanted to say something back. you don't need to prove anything to us.

2nd. flip's responses are usually like that. we've become accustomed to it. actually, i kinda like it...in some...sick, sort of. way.

3rd. unpluging that gray connector WILL NOT 'jack anything' up. it's much more safer to unplug something, than it is to drive with the e-brake even SLIGHTLY up. i'd rather unplug something to take care of the DRL.
