DEFINITELY a conversion kit; output is much better. If not, then definitely the PIAA; Silverstars burn out pretty fast and it still looks OEM to me; making the crappiest OEM replacements on the market IMHO.

Do it right the first time and get the real thing. There are always kits for sale here on SG. Good luck! :D

I've had PIAAs 4100k super white and the light output was not as good as I expected it to be. They looked like stock too even though it said super white. I replaced them with 2300k nokyas and the nokyas worked great. They are just temporary until I have time to put in my HELLA conversion kit haha 8) 8)

PIAA's lasted 8 months for me
Silver starts lasted 1 & 1.2 years.

Currently using slyvania "cool-blues" - they are cheaper than silverstars. 8 mts and still good!

I didn't opt for the kit, as glare was the factor for me. If i have time and patience, i'd do the projector route (and do it right the first and only time). anyone who claims a coversion kit is 'right' approach, its a nice cheaper fix..but the glare for me is invitation for "catch me"...

Don't waste your money on silverstars.....I can't speak for the PIAA's but nothing can suck as much as the silverstars..
Just get a conversion kit you will be very happy.

I bought a pair of Silverstar Ultra off ebay ($25) and they've been the best bulbs I've ever bought. They've been working great for over 8 months and the light output is awesome. Actually quite better than the regular Silverstars. PIAA looks great but didn't have near the light output as the Silverstar Ultras.

I'll second what Solarizona said; the Ultras are great. They really light up the road, got my at Autozone

I've changed bulbs so many times just trying to find the right look that I've got a boat load of headlight lamps in the garage. I'll sell you a set real cheap if you like.

PM me for details.

stupid question but. conversion kit means what?
changing 9006 to 9005? or HID?

sorry for the question but I was a little confused..

thanks.

Ok since money is a factor I suggest the silverstar ultras then....I thought you meant any of the three choices, the ultras have to be better than the regular silverstars I had.
