looks nice, i know they had some made like that but i heard there were problems with many of the hoods not latching correctly.

Frankly, I'm more interested in body kits than a ricer hood. :-?

Due to the lack of interest and VIS has declined.

To those that were wanting this, GL.

You know...I'm not a modder, but the problem I see is that everything seems to cost quite a bit, and no one here ever has any money. LOL

From what everyone else says, the parts for other makes/models are much cheaper...but then again, the manufacturers made gazillions of those cars (Civic, etc...) so there are more of them to buy the stuff...plus, there are a million 200 year old Civics out there that some hoodlum i just drooling to make look stupid...

Not entirely true!

Nobody is really making the things we WANT at an affordable price!

Just because I want to make hood scoops for the Gen 2 Solara and nobody wants to buy them - does that give me the right to say that Gen 2 owners won't buy any aftermarket parts so why bother?

C'mon - give us what we're all REALLY wanting to spend money on - whether it's performance (like CP-e did) or most of all, a body kit that doesn't look like crap *cough* EVO *cough* !!

A CF hood has got to be the lowest thing on my mod list that I can think of. If I was a 20 yr old with a Civic, maybe that would be different. ;)

Good point Jeff, I even contacted the company that used to make the Gen 2 cf hood, but I've been told by several members that have tried the hood and the fitment just wasn't right. Nonetheless, I've scratched that off my list and props to those that have it, but the pic of the gen 2 pearl w/ the cf hood has been sold/traded to a dealership a while back. I had the opportunity to speak the the previous owner in regards to it.

I've also had other members voice to me about issues w/ gen 1 hoods from VIS...as well as reading up on it and it seems more risk than it's worth. I think I've taken enough risk and since this is also something that I'm dailying, it just doesn't make sense to put my family at risk. A long daily commute with my two daughters just puts everything in perspective.

Again, I hope some of you are able to get it and I'm sure you'll make it look great!
