Gen 2 custom lower grille mod

Gen 2 custom lower grille mod

Postby ClassySolaraGuy » Sun Feb 25, 2007 9:07 pm

I thought I just share another little mod I did fairly easy on zoomzoom's lara. Found the idea from Jeff on this post: http://www.solaraguy.org/viewtopic.php?t=23799&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0
I didn't use the Mike T grille. Instead I just used some mesh from (edit "Lowes") & fabricated it myself. I found a good looking design to use. I washed it & used primer & painted it with rust proof aluminum paint & it was set. I spent only $7 dollars to do it. Nice little mod to protect & not see the lower radiator. Plan to have some work done on that top grille as well. Might take some time but it will be well worth it! 8) Damn freeway bugs! :x

I was gonna do the same thing to my car, but I didn't know how i can attach the grille to the car,, Imma get the same mesh grille, but sand it down and prime it and then spray it black to match my car....

how did u attach it? did u have to cut it?
