Rim Width

Rim Width

Postby WJN333 » Sun Feb 25, 2007 9:53 pm

I know this question has probably been asked 1000s of times but I cant seem to find it when I search. "I got rabies or something"

Will 17s or 18s x 8" wide fit without rubbing or rolling the fenders?

I like the way the 8" wide rims/tires look on the new TLs.

Thanks
Bill

im pretty sure they will but it all depends on the OFFSET
so u gotta check the offset of the rims to see if it will fit without rubbing

Those will rub; offset is too low.

Wrong.... Roll your fenders, and a smaller tire than the G, I already answered this on your PM, Toy.

Ok, fine, WITHOUT modifying the body of the car (and lowered), it will rub

Im sorry, kinda unclear there. While I do like the TL wheels, not thinking of those in particular for my solara. Just like the way the 8" width looks. Was wondering if, with the right offset, could I use 8" wide rims on the solara without rolling the fenders or rubbing. And hopefully what that offset is.

Wow I feel like a noob
