damn water/snow -- foglight help

so with the crappy weather we've been having here lately, somehow water and snow got under my car pretty bad and water even ended up inside my foglight housing causing my passenger side bulb to burst.
i want to take out the foglight housing to drain that extra water out, but unfortunately the bolts are rusted to hell so removing them is out of the question.

I am considering puttin in new bulbs and leaving my fogs on for a lil while to hopefully cause that water to evaporate, but even so do you guys think this will work??

no dumb@ss side comments about tellin me to drive up a high hill and wait for the water to drain out.

Yes, the condensation will eventually dry out, and you dont even have to turn on your fog lights... it will help more when the weather turns warmer, or at least dryer... but, usually once condensation gets into a light (even if it dries out) it will come back unless you reseal the light.

^ thanks a bunch Posh. but with the way the weather is now. my fogs wont be dry til May.. bleh. the water level inside my fogs are about 1-2 cms high..

Dammmm, thats quite a bit of water... maybe someone else can give you a suggestion on how to get it out for now...

I took the bulb out so hopefully in due time the water will either drain out if i drive up some hills (very steep ones which there aren't any here) or by summertime..
- hopefully. otherwise my fogs are useless.

They might be a lost cause. i got my half full of water and took them off of the bumper , dried them and still have condenstation! Im gonna get new ones sometime after my tax refund. headlights and bumper lights get beat up over time with nicks , brand new ones the car look som much better.

take them off and dry them.. and i had problem with water getting in but after i let it dry the condensation never came back. The bulbs help minimize the condensation and dry the inside

tried wd40 and a number of other products no luck.
brought it to the shop already, they wanna charge me just 150 for labor.

i will just leave it as is, hopefully it will dry up in time. If not then w.e. no point if im selling the car within a year or so. getting another car.

yeah they arent bad. but
1. I can't even removed the fogs because it's too rusted, I tried wd40 and a few other things, didnt work.
2. shops/dealer are charging me 100+ just for labor which is bs.

dude just take them out. even if the bolts are rusted on their 8 or 10mm not screws. they can be easily unbolted with a socket wrench

the bolts where the socket wrench goes over, are rounded out. previous owner must've tried. I juts tried using a socket wrench and hand wrench. no avail.

i wonder if those tools for removing stripped bolts and screws work?
maybe u could give those a shot?
