^^^ NO. Just bolt it on!

The FRONT will really help LOCK IN the engine bay area, and provide a "slightly" more RIGID feel up front, with improved control of TORQUE induced FLEX up front. It will HELP your car "hook up" and reduce chassis "flexing" that can cause "PUSH" up front. (Better suspension control of the tires to the ground...)

I put my gen 2 front strut tower brace on BEFORE my RSB and notice the improvements immediately. (NOTE: They are SUBTLE, but REAL.)

The REAR brace is MORE dramatic as far as HANDLING improvement is concerned. MUCH less roll, and better "follow" of the arse end as it comes around...

The combination of BOTH really help to keep the chassis more rigid and better planted as a whole.

Go for it.

Oh yeah... not everybody thinks of this... but have the vehicle on a FLAT SURFACE, LEVEL on all fours with the steering set centered and neutral when you install and TORQUE DOWN the brace.

(The mounting holes allow for some variability in the positioning as well. I made sure I was CENTERED between the right and left side before tightening any bolts down...)

The idea here is that you don't have "some slight" flex in the front end caused by "uneven pavement" or the steering "biased" one way then LOCKING that in with the brace... it could theoretically cause some steering "pull" to develop or a little "skew" to the "paralellagram" formed by the bracing to the chassis...

Just a thought...

^^^Nicely explained Crisp!

I would put on your strut tower brace since its only like 4 bolts worth of time & then drive around it see if you feel the difference. I just put a RSB on Jes's lara & it kicks ass! You won't be disappointed at all! Its money well spent! 8)

Don't all 'Laras come with a tower brace?

Also: I was under the impression that the "hardest" end slid first (why the RSB on "track" causes oversteer)
