IIRC, the V6 puts out less than 180hp. While I don't know what the Solara put out in your model year, you do have a signification weight disadvantage.

well since i was in the hyundai crowd for several years. They are rated at 183hp..

all v6 tiburons are 2003+ . The car is pretty heavy, so it might be close. The auto tranny is eh and how u say kinda sluggish. If its auto, they have shift-tronic, which is like sportshift.

any other specific ques?

V6 2.7L DACT output 170hp @ 6000/177tq @ 4000
it weight-in at 1333 kg or 2933 pounds
ratio weight/power = 17.25 pounds per hp

V6 3.0L DACT 24 soupapes output 200hp @ 5200/214tq @ 4400
it weight-in at 1480 kg or 3256 pounds
ratio weight/power = 16.28 pounds per hp

Since you're more torque you have all the specs with you.

One of our patients works for Hyundai and his understanding that there is a major HP upgrade on its way for the Tiburon. FWIW

^ not surprised...everything's about hp hp hp these days...

we mod just to keep up with stock cars...haha...

and since the tiburon is auto, you should be able to eat it. the 6spd is pretty quick though...that would be close.

even a manual tiburon is slow ......7.6 seconds to 60, and thats a race car driver shifting.

more than likely, the tiburon will win, even though you have more hp and torque. I raced one, and they have racing transmissions. From a roll, you would probably win though.
