Afkhad asked me about getting a highflow cat for the dat Y pipe so we struck a deal and I made one up. This is ODB2 compliant and does not set off the CEL on my solara. Here are some pics it is 12.5 in long with mild steel flanges. I also painted it high temp Black. It also had gaskets a larger one for the Y pipe side and a smaller one for an aftermarket exhaust with a smaller flange.

mostly rust proofing the body is stainless but the pipes and flanges are alluminised. I have had mine for about 2 yrs a bit of surface rust but nothing life threatning and I live in NY with LOTS of salt

to buy and modify the cat, how much $ are we looking at for materials and your time needed? Just curious what I would pay a shop to do it. I'm still debating on whether to go with a cat or with a simulator.

I am looking for 120 shipped without gaskets the cost for materials for me is about 90 then I am guessing about 10 with tracking to ship so 20 for me to fab and weld. More if you want me to include gaskets. Also if you want to send me your Test pipe with markings to tell me direction I can recreate that in cat form. I took and educated guess for measurements and my test pipe for afkhad so we will see how things go for him.

Also these are OBD2/EPA compliant Carsound/Magnaflow highflow cats and I have had mine for 2 yrs with no CEL.

FYI, just got the high flow cat today from Midias and it's already hooked up. Everything was a snap and working fine. If your looking for a high flow cat, get in touch with him...he's your man.

They are strong and hold well but are done with gasless flux so not tig pretty but they will NOT break.
