My engine is running to lean. Anybody know why by any chance. I havent touched my safc at all? I'm not to much of any engine guy :-?

I take it you are boosting? Whats your PSI? Have you done fuel upgrades?

its not adjusted. I have forged pistons new valves. and thats i. I was driving yesterday and the scangauge2 came up with running to lean all of a sudden

i would get it scanned and check out the o2 sensors. o2 sensors are the most likely reason

You said you are not much of an engine guy yet you have forge internals? Did you do the work yourself? Maybe thats the problem there. I am not being mean so don't get me wrong, But maybe you should tell us more.

Running lean without boost

I don't know what a "scangauge" is. I will assume it is either a wideband o2 sensor or a code reader for the ECU you used when you got a MIL. At any rate, I presume your car is a V6 since you are talking about no S/C. Is the mixture lean in both banks? If it is, it is likely something to do with that Safc you don't need or the MAF meter, these cars almost always go lean in one bank or the other because the banks are trimmed independently. If it is only one bank, check for vacuum leaks, especially around the injectors.

PDX SuperSolara your the man, I think. I just read the code from my computer and its a 0171 which is bank 1 running to lean.
