so my grill finally started peelin. so i decided to paint it. here are some pics. im thinking about cutting out the vertical lines on the grill and putting mesh grill in it . so heres some pics of the project

I have already made my mesh for the grill and still pondering cutting out the vertical bars. I dont want it to look cheap w/ the gutter mesh though. I have a feeling it will chip easy. I think Astro or someone had the mesh powdercoated. Still debating. Good luck and keep us updated w/ pics

Just find good quality, powder-coated mesh.

I've bought this before, but I used it in the lower air dam. I've yet to do the grille. But, I think this mesh is pretty stable and strong compared to the cheap stuff.

^^Yeah, it's off. I was going to try it when I did my conversion, but you'll definately need body work....not worth it IMO.

=\ i feel like such a noob... i cant get the grill out.. i see the clips holding it, but it seemed as if their stuck/glued together T_T... my paint is chipping and i need to repaint it too

there should just be 2 bolts on the top and just have to pry the grill out.
no updates been busy. gonna finish the preppin and the middle this weekend and then send it to get painted silver on the outside on monday. will post pics

^^ Correction: 3 bolts. Once you get those out, the bottom clips ARE a bit tough to remove.
