I started looking for a new car a little over a year ago. After driving a Sebring JXI convertible, I liked it but couldn't get past the fact that it was a Chrysler. Sorry Chrysler owners, but the quality just isn't there. But I decided then that a drop top was for me. I had a 10 year old Honda Prelude and liked and trusted Honda's, but the only convertible they made was the S2000 and it was too expensive. Saw the Solara convertible, loved the look. Check it out on consumer reports and several other info sources and all had good things too say about the reliability and quality. Also they hold resale value better than most cars in their price range.
Well, that was enough for me. And the compliments that I've gotten on it have been great. I really think that for the money it's the best convertible on the market.
