boo....traitor.....traitor....traitor....!!

haha....good luck on your search and don't rely on carfax. Take it to a mechanic as well.

and from your car? your rims will fit, the rear sway bar will fit, and....unfortunately though, your coilovers won't. but your old springs should.

why not jusst keep those gauges that you're trying to sell? you may need the boost gauge....one day.... ;)

well, I went and saw the car today and took it for a test drive. All I can say is WOW! car is in amazing shape aside from the painted grille- both the exterior and interior are all spotless, not a single ding or scrape- looks like an awesome platform to start on. The 1mz pulls really hard, such a big difference from the 5s in my camry! The car also has a brand new clutch in it (like not even broken in new) and a whole new exhaust, but I plan to swap that anyway. The guy had dual exhaust on it I guess but they removed it and installed the stock cheap exhaust.

I talked them down to 8200 from 8900, not sure how much lower I can get, but I have my fingers crossed for 8k flat. Ill let everyone know how it goes!

Good luck. If they want to get rid of it, they'll go down.

Nice! Didn't know they had white leather interiors on the Gen 1 - thought they were all tan like the Gen 2s!

And there's absolutely NOTHING wrong with shaving the emblems and modding a grille - he just beat you to it! ;)

If it checks out mechanically and isn't a rust-bucket, then I'd say go for it!

Sweet. Good luck on the purchase! Look forward to seeing it in person at one of the A2 meets.

Have you already stripped down the Camry? Are you trading it, selling it or parting it? If you part, there are a few Camrys of your generation online here. You may have some buys.

yeah the camry will be for sale by may- right now i am in the process of selling the parts, most have sold I just have to remove them.

I think the solara is actually tan on the inside, but it may be ivory white. Everything on the exterior and interior is mint, I think its a good buy!

As for the modding, I would shave the emblems myself anyway but I used it as a bargaining tool  The grille looks like crap though, Ill be getting a new one for sure.

Good luck with the purchase.

You won't regret it.

When I ordered my car, it originally came with ivory interior (yuck). It doesn't look good with a blue car. I had to reorder my car again to get it with a grey interior (It took another 8 weeks of waiting).
