imo...almost anything is better than stock parts...and worth the max. price of $100.00 US. Now after a week, stock just looks nasty compared to what I have now. A minor upgrade with lots of upside and safer too, if that's your thing.

That's not always the case. There are lots of aftermarket parts at a premium price that lack the quality of OEM.

yes correct...and he is right too...not all after market parts are prime...but that's why some people do not do their homework and get stuck with an expensive piece of junk. *shrug* yes the bulbs however was my main point.

Silverstars at Auto Zone

Postby 01solara » Sun May 18, 2003 1:54 am

I just picked up silverstars for my headlights and fog lights today for $20 bucks a bulb. I also got the hyperwhites in the back taillights and they look really good (no more orange) also a good upgrade for the front signals is the hyperwhites, because the only reason they are orange is because the bulb is orange (besides the small orange reflective area, but that doesn't even light up). It's a better deal than clear corners (55 bucks at procarparts.com)

I got the PIAA H4 Super Plasma GT-X H4 60/55w=135/125w. They don't look blue and don't have the yellow tint either. They were a little more expensive than the Silverstars though. I paid $84 just for the headlights. -jb

The front signals are orange because they are supposed to be. Even if you put clear corners on you have to keep orange bulbs. Thats what the law is here anyway.

What if you wanted the blue tint are there any bulbs that can fit the stock houseing that are good quality?

The stock housing is fine, but I'd stay away from any bulbs other than OEM or ones made to OEM specs. The cheaper, higher wattage bulbs tent to burn too hot and over time your headlight housing will become cloudy. Also you run the risk of smoking the headlight wiring harness
