I wonder how long they'd last. The spokes start to break down or lose their "spring" and you have to replace the tire.

That is interesting, but I just can't see them working everywhere...I would think they'd have MAJOR limitations based on climate, but who knows.

yea i agree..... try putting those tires on 19" wheels with 35 series side wall... good luck with your rims...

Still pretty impressive though... If the technology is perfected, you can get a set of thinner-spoke black rims and make it look like your car is F L O A T I N G. Wonder if Falken or Yokohama is doing it, so if it's perfected, I don't care if I have to live in my 'Lara to pay for it, but I want a set.

They'd have to put a sidewall on there wouldn't they? Not very safe otherwise. Imagine that picking up gravel in a parking lot then hitting the hiway. That'll take out a couple windshields.

And anyone with a chain lock could replace the Denver Boot. (Or you could use the club to disable the car.)

I'm sure that would work REAL well in the first sandy area you drove. I can see those getting loaded with sand and getting you stuck.
