eBay intake for V6?

eBay intake for V6?

I'm still relatively a n00b when it comes to the Solara but I've been reading on the forums about intakes for the V6. Anyways, I was wondering if it's worth spending $40 for a SRI from eBay compared to the cP-E one which costs quite a bit. What do you guys think?

the 40$ intakes are just sound. there is no difference in Hp. its just like keeping your stock intake, just with added noise.

its worthless.. this is why im not investing in an intake for my solara. just get a K&N drop in.. unless you want noise.

That wont help. The pipes too big for the sensor to get the right reading.

Youll get CEL sometime especially in really hot or cold weather. Other then that its just sound. Youll get maybe 1hp and I think a member on here claim awhile back it causes the car to lean out.

POS!!! I had an ebay intake until the filter head FELL OFF while I was driving causing the car to stall. Also, the tube is a half inch too big which means too much air for the sensor and the engine runs lean.

Dont waste your money on this. Save up for an injen or a CPE
