This Solara is a two owner car that was owned my my father who is now to old to drive and now me. This vehicle has been well cared for and not abused in any way.I tinted the windows and was driving it a little bit but have decided that I need a 4 door vehicle.

New triple tread tires and front brakes, Transmission serviced with Toyota fluids..all within the last 6 months or so. New battery within the last year or so. It's never been in a wreak, Never been smoked in Never been repainted or touched up. This Solara rides and drives like a new car and the mileage is correct and the title is clear. This car is bone stock with the exception of the tires and tint. This isn't a car that has been reconditioned to look like a "cherry" vehicle...It is one. The car does show some normal wear that you would expect from driving it 33K miles in Los Angeles, It's got some stone chips and a couple of door dings along with a scuff on one of the wheels. Come see the car in person and you have to look close to see this stuff.

I'm not interested in selling the car to someone that can't come look at it before hand and I won't ship it. Thanks for looking 8)

That's a high price for any 6-7 year old car. Sure it has low miles and looks well cared for, but it's 6-7 years old. Color doesn't help either.

Good luck with your sale, but I doubt you will get anywhere near what you are asking.

- Why the need for new brakes if you only have 33k miles?
- Why did you service the transmission if it only has 33k miles? Transmission shouldn't need touched until at least 75-100k miles.
- Why did you need new tires if it only has 33k miles? Okay, maybe it sat and they cracked, i'll give you the benefit of the doubt.
- Why the need for a new battery...did it sit idle for an extended period of time and thats why the first one went bad?

It does look like a clean car, but the mileage is tough to believe. My car sits in the garage most of the year and is only driven on weekends, yet I still manage to put on at least 8k miles a year...If its legit, it is quite a rarity to see. Do you have any engine bay pics?

The car's mileage is correct, the car belonged to my elderly father prior to my ownership.

Items that are new were replaced because the car sat for a while.

NICE clean car!

I too think the price is a little high. My '04 has 57k miles, but it is pretty clean, too... and I'd trust it to run well for a long time yet. My "buyout" is $12k in a handful of months... makes 12 for yours seem a "little high". (Okay, I DID pay a couple grand up front to keep from being too "upside down"... I think I did ok.)

Anyway... hope you get a "GOOD" price for your clean, low mile ride.

high price though kinda.
where many hate, few will love,
But for those who love,
they'll see what it's like to live.

KELLY BLUE BOOK..

Postby LatinUSMC » Mon Mar 19, 2007 2:20 pm

check you KELLY BLUE book guy... compare to your "SE"

2000 solara 3.0 liter
w.b 105.1"
"SLE COUPE "
vin:2dcf22p
wt :3120
list:26293
whls:$8,475 (subtract 475 for manual tranny)
Sug..Ret:11,600(subtract 475 for manual tranny)

so $8,000 sounds more like.. a real "Sellable" and this is for an "SLE"

I.d subtract 500 for that color and SE down grades....

YEAH...a grand under low book, for a near perfect car. I could have gotten that as a trade last weekend. I'll coincide that 12K is on the high side...but I'll throw a road flare in it before I sell it for low book. Bring some marshmallows and we'll have a party

Even In "fair" condition the book w/options is 8900.00 for private party. This car is in Excellent condition w/ 50K less than "acceptable mileage for it's year.

Thanks for all your comments though :sweet:
