>>Loud Pop From Window, Please Help<<

Dear Sir Or Madam:

Lately usually after I roll down my driver's side window, I've noticed that when I'm either [even gently] taking a turn or accelerating with the window up, there's a loud pop coming from towards the back of the door with a sound that resembles someone throwing a pebble against the glass.

Usually it's fine if I don't open it at all or if I open the door and close it again, but it's just very annoying and I'm worried that the window might eventually shatter/chip if it WERE something hitting it.

I do have aftermarket speakers, but that was installed not too long (probably 7 months) ago and I tightened everything beneath the panel just so I don't get vibrations back then. Everything seemed fine to me when I took off the panel the other day, but it is still happening.

Any insights, please? I'm getting desperate here.

Thank You For Reading and Your Imminent Support,

-Ed

here is a posts thats actually helpfull....

could be a screw fell out and is rattling around when you turn.

is there a particular area in the door that is taping?

Do you have any aftermarket speakers/soundproofing?

Have you taken off the panel to see whats going on?

Well, it's not a rattle; it's more of a pop when I accelerate or turn, and the sound seems like its' coming from the rear portion of the driver's side window. It's fine when I'm in motion or [obviously] at a complete stop, but like I said, it's the same sound as someone throwing a pebble against the glass of your window (not to shatter, mind you).

Another noteworthy thing: Usually it doesn't happen unless I have rolled down the window and rolled it back up, but incidentally fine after I open the door and close it again while it's up or haven't rolled the windows yet.

I do have 6 1/2" aftermarket Pioneers with a bit of Dynamat immediately surrounding it, but that was installed almost a year ago and I made sure each screw was tight to reduce/prevent rattling.

As for taking off the door panel, I haven't done it yet since I've just been TIRED after work lately... Fxcking boss has been throwing me a bunch of last-minute stuff and I'm just worn the fxck out after work (and even taking work home and up until 1AM), but I'll look into it once I got the time and energy.

Any more suggestions on what it could be, anyone?

Thanks! -Ed

C'mon, even a n00b double post gets more responses than this, and everything seemed fine to the untrained eye... Any more solutions please? If you can correctly ID my problem, I'll send you a $20 gift card since it's getting annoying!

Indicating I took the door apart and saw nothing wrong, but the problem still exists. Sh!t, I guess I have to go to the stealership with money I don't have then.

if it helps, your window drive line is loose and any Excel or push causes the line to vibrate to your window. Its just used
