I got the silverstars for my solara which i bought from Kragens and its brighter than the stock, but when i turn on high beam, the beam is blueish, and i like them better, what would happen if i drive with high beam FOREVER, just because I like the blueness?

will it burn something out?

blind other people while their driving. go buy HIDs if you want a nice light output with blueish tint to it.

Check out ebay...plenty of HID conversion kits around....my friend's Honda and Landcruiser got those EBAY one....$120 shipped. 8000 and 10,000 kw bulbs........headlight look likes those AUDI or BMW HID...even better.

Now a day HID kits are so cheap....get those instead using HIGH BEAM unless you want someone to scratch your door after you have parked your car..

High K (6000+) HID will turn blue to purple

Low K (4300) will have a white output

Between with be a mix of white and blue output

It depends of the brand...I went with McCulloch

I had the 9006 McCulloch kit in 5300k for my solara

I have the H4 kit for my low beams in my xB and also the 9006 3000k Kit for my fog lights in my xB...

I got them all from Mark as well...

Please note that I keep a 2 millon-candlelight lantern on my passenger's seat for high-beam riders just to blind the assholes back... I warn once with a wave/flash, then if it's still on and annoying me through 20% tint and my mirror fully dimmed, I then lantern aim with my rearview and fixate the beam on their face. If you don't want to become lanterned by like-minded people like me, don't.

...I should think you will get VERY VERY VERY TIRED.... and YES... EVENTUALLY, ALL lights burn out. 8)

Just for reference, I have HID in my LOW and Silverstar in my FOG and they are BOTH on ANY TIME I AM DRIVING. (But NOT forever... of course... )

alot of people flash their highs at me because they THINK my high beams are on, but it's really just my HID kit. maybe these people in your area simply have HID kits.

it's funny because if they're facing me and they flash their highs, i put my high beams on too, which turns off the headlights completely (only low-beam kit; no low/high beam)...then i just put them back on.

if you want more bluesish light, go buy something else. those with HID conversions and those who keep their high beams on...there are right ways to HID (its called projectors).
