Postby Sap Z » Wed Mar 21, 2007 7:21 am

Hello there,

So when i first installed my RSB i lubed the ushings well and also wrapped that area with tape.
Few month after it started sqeaking here and there. So i went and got it lubed since i didnt fele like getting under and doing it myself.

Now after 3-4 months AGAIN its squeaking...well more than a squeak..more like a creaking noise. N its fuking annoying...every bump..every turn...ARGH

WHAT DO I DO? I'm This close to putting my stock back one :(

elp!

Maybe you need new bushings? Or how about just loosening the brackets and applying more lube to the bushings? pretty easy fix.

I have the same problem, its because its cold out and urethane doesn't like that, it makes it harder and thats where the squeaking comes from. Try using the gel on them again or just wait for warmer days like me.

TRy a silicone/teflon base lube. It has a wide operating temperature and won't wash off easily. You can find something like that in pool/jacuzzi service shops.

I also used this to lube the new RSB on the Gen 2. Its very resistant to water or anything for that matter. Its about 4-6 dollars to get.

I have heard marine grease works well as well because it is extremely water resistant and has a large temp range... good luck!

Search around I have seen bushings with a grease fitting I might go with those that way a few quick squirts with a grease gun and all set.
