my passenger seat rattles sometimes, depending on the position it is left in.

Are you guys sure this sound is coming from the rear and not the front. Cause I had a cluncking noise in my car when I first got it. The bearings in the top of my front strut towers went bad. The mechanic told me it was a common thing to go out in toyota camry and solaras between the years 97 to 99. He said every 97 to 99 camry and solara they sell, they have to replace these bearings. He was saying that toyota should have recalled this part. If you replace it with a 2000 or newer bearing the problem will not come back again cause toyota fixed that problem that year and on.

Also what do you mean by end links? Are you talking about the link the connects from the rear sway bar to the strut?

Yes, I'm quite sure. It is definitely coming from the area of the right rear strut, and it sounds window-level, so I'm guessing it's the top mount that is the problem. I've retorqued the nuts to make sure they were to spec, and it seemed to help for while, but that wasn't the problem. I'm thinking it's the top mount or a bad strut.

Yeah I would take out the strut assembly and look the strut to see if its blown and look at the top mount to see if its worn badly.

Anybody still have this problem?! I have the same rattle up front and it's driving me nuts...

If I open up the hood, and press down on the car, I can see the top bolt of the strut waddle and move... should I "torque" this down, or is it really my strut bearing that is shot?

Thanks
