Ok I've searched for about an hour now and still really don't have my questions answered (maybe I've been searching wrong or something idk). I have 18x8 rims with 235/45 tires. I put on monroe struts last year around this time of year(yea i know they're not tokico but I was short on money and needed struts). I'm looking to lower the car now so I'm thinking either eibach or tein springs. I know eibach leaves like a half inch difference or something like that in the rear and tein is more of a even drop so I might go with teins. So my problem is as of right now without lowering my rear tires rub sometimes even without someone in the back seat and even worse with someone back there. Will that get worse with the springs and if so other than rolling/cutting/bending my fenders is there any other solutions for it? Even if I don't get the springs I'd like the rubbing to stop so would spacers work that out? I've got 1/2 inch spacers now but I haven't put them on the car as of now. I'm sorry this is so long but I just wanted to make sure all my questions are answered since they wasn't by searching. Any help is appreciated. God bless

You might need to roll your fenders.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you put the 1/2" spacer on, it'll push the tire out even more (closer to the fender)? Just roll the fender, you be fine.

I'm not sure how the Gen 1s roll, but depending on the offset of your aftermarket rims, with spacers... you've got a compounded issue to deal with.

Sound like a little math can help you figure out how much you need to either roll/shave your fender wells. ;)

where are u rubbing first?

the fenders or ur strut mount?

if strut mount, then u need spacers

if fender, then u can roll fenders.

Well if it has to do with math then I'm screwed cuz I suck at it. I'm rubbing on the strut mount in the back of the car and I dont' even want to talk about the front because that's a whole other story. I don't even know of a body shop that will roll my fenders if that would resolve my issue. So other than just buying smaller wheels and/or tires I believe I'm at a stand still. Any other help will be appreciated thanks guys. God bless.

Thanks, I'll look into getting these but I believe I've got bigger issues. Remember me saying I had front end problems..well the passenger side front strut decided to poke through the top end and just about puncture a hole in the hood of my car. So yea idk if I'll be lowering the car or not just because what money I have will probably go to fixing that. I'm kinda hoping that I'll be able to fix the front strut mount and all while lowering the car as well but I'll just have to see how expensive it'll be. Just thank God that nothing bad happened while I've been driving the car especially with my gf and our daughter in the car with us. Thanks again to all and God bless.

^^^yeah it hurt the hood but hopefully it hasn't hurt anything else. I just bought a new strut mount and I'm getting it put on tomorrow(for parts and install just under $150). I'm now looking for Tein lowering springs so if anyone can give me a website I can order off of or a sweet hookup would be even better :drinking:. After I put the springs on I'll go back to my rubbing problem and get those spacers that I have the link for and try those and probably rolling my fenders. Then if all's well and with some luck I'll be done suspension wise on the car for awhile. Thanks again guys. God bless.

If I'm coming to cali then I'm gonna get those coilovers on sale in another thread...lol too bad I couldn't do that cuz a 24 pack would be cheap..I'd even get you 2 24 packs for putting the coilovers on. But unfortunatly I live like 4 days away driving and I gotta work too. :( Thanks anyways though :)
