RSX Wheels

RSX Wheels

Postby badjura » Sat Mar 24, 2007 7:32 pm

Did a quick search - couldn't find anything
There are some cheap 16" RSX wheels that I can pick up locally
From what i can find out it looks like they have the same bolt pattern and offset as the 16" solara stockies
Question is: do they actually fit and can I just bolt these on without spacers?
thx guys

looks arent anything. everything with a 5 lug will LOOK as if itll fit.
i checked on tirerack. rsx has 5x114. ours are 5x114.3 not exactly sure if it'll fit or not. you wont need spacers for these tho man. sorry if im not much help, if anything go to a local tire shop like discounttire or some store like that and ask if the swap will work. good luck and if it works, post pics man. it'll be ......

interesting

to see honda rims on a toyota.

^^^, yeah, check out what he said. Make sure bolt pattern is the same, and make sure that the center hub is the same size also. And for sure, if you do get it, take off the Acura center caps...

I was going by this:

http://www.discountedwheelwarehouse.com ... erence.cfm

RSX 01-01 5X114.3 12mmX1.5 70.3 H

http://www.discountedwheelwarehouse.com ... erence.cfm

CAMRY SOLARA 99-on 16 X 6 5X114.3 12mmX1.5 60.1 H

Although the CB is 70.3 on the RSX and 60.1 on the Solara - whatver that is - lol

I asked one of my friends at a DiscountTire, he said that a few months back when he used to work there he did see a camry he said it might've been an 01 with a rsx rim swap done to it as well. i don't see then why it wouldnt work. best bet is still ask discounttire directly. dont want to purchase the wheels ASSUMING it'll fit then in the end you just have an extra set of nonfitting wheels in your garage.

I assume CB is center bore. 60mm and 70mm sound right for that.

Looks like the RSX is bigger, so if it is Center bore, you will need a hubcentric ring the exact size (60 inner diameter, 70 outer diameter) for the two for a good fit.

But whats the point of putting RSX rims on a Solara anyways?

^^^^ yep, listen to what he's saying... You will NEED those hubcentric rings to make it fit properly.

and, what's wrong with the RSX wheel? haha, I mean, they're just your regular run of the mill 5-spoke rims right?

Just for your info...bolt pattern 5X114 doesn't exist...maybe but just in the country of lazy people ;)

it's 114.3mm that equals to 4.5"

Yea thats my point. They are just run-of-the-mill, so I dont see a point in getting these. Not to mention another car manufacturer's emblem sitting on the hub.

G35 stocks are much nicer than "run-of-the-mill" stocks.

Also, it doesn't sound like a case of personal preference; it sounds like a case of "I can a good deal on them and I got the upgrade itch".

Another thing - RSX stocks are 205/55/16. Solara Gen 1 rides on 205/60/16s. If you use the tires that come on it, it means your odometer will be off by over 3%, which is outside the normally acceptable difference in diameter from stock.

^^^^ true, even if you get those RSX rim's, you gotta get new tires, 205/60/16's like the stock's. And also, just to let you know Jon... the Acura center caps CAN be removed
