4.10 UPDATE autopage rs-1000

Postby tito53 » Thu Mar 15, 2007 4:19 pm

from my research, autopage rs-1000 was released jan 07 and the MRSP is supposed to be 799.99 with install. it's the first 2way alarm with a mile range and full screen remote. I'm getting it for just $450 with install. It's got the new lcd screen with animated functions. ill have pictures of the installation next week! has anyone else got this alarm?

UPDATE:
I'm very happy with the alarm and the range is incredible. I would recommend the product to anyone looking for an aftermarket alarm with remote start and 2way features with a long range. As long as it's installed correctly you'll be satisfied. dont forget to check out the video :D

ruskimafia, it does include all that. whats different about it is the remote. what's funny is that the shop i usually go to was saying it would cost me $850. i think its time to switch places.

yea dude thats a lil to much. i was going to have one installed for my 00 accord but sold it... two of my friends had it and they loved the viper alarm.. i was quoted 500 with install at tweeter but best buy does a free install. if im correct. the remote our system is coming with looks kind of cheap my .02 but do some research before you buy an alarm system I highly recommend going with Viper, Dei or python all based off one company DEI , but its up to you

i second that.

from personal experience, i've had the FIRST "all-in-one" unit w/remote start from Autopage (RS-750 model), and i now i'm on the Clifford Matrix 3.5. i've had a variety of problems with the Autopage than with the Clifford, which i have had NO PROBLEMS with whatsoever. EVER.

at work we carry the Autopage RS-855 model (also w/remote start capability) and we were "low-balling" the price just to get rid of them, too. just make sure the company you're dealing with will still have B-stock in case parts go bad. they're pricing it low for a reason...ask why.

the reason i got the low price was because the guy just became a dealer for autopage and ill be the first customer for it. when i stopped by he was in the middle of an install, it looked very clean. they do offer a one year guarantee on it so im feeling safe.

Thats a good price, where did you get it? Does it have a glass sensor, and proximity sensor?

yes it has both. the proximity sensor is pretty much in the lowest setting so loud noise cant set it off, but if you hit it'll give you a warning, if you hit it hard enough it'll go off. i'll take a video testing the sensor soon
