Is there anyone on here who has 225/45/18 tires on their ride? I have 18x8 wheels with +35 offset. Car is lowered and the fender lips are shaved. Just wondering if these will rub. Thanks.

i have 225/40/18 and without the RSB it rubbed. I would think these will too but since it's shaved you may be right at the border line... then again the +35 means they stick out just a bit more than mine (mine are +42).... i think it's a close call and you won't really know until you get them installed, anyone else have an opinion??

Dunno on a Gen 1 - but that's what I'm currently running on my Gen 2 (same wheel size & offset too).

Shaved my fender lip and added a camber kit to bring in the tops a bit.

Only rub in extreme cases now. ;)

thanks for the quick replies. i'm running 225/40/18s now, and they clear the fenders. i just want to go a little bit bigger since 225/45/18 are actually closer to stock diameter. i'll keep y'all posted once i get them installed.

Yes, the new tires are on!

I think they look great. I love that the car sits a little bit higher. I don't have to worry about scraping the car when going down a steep driveway or large speed bumps anymore. However, the tires do rub the fenders on very rare occasions. Yes, fenders are shaved. It would be perfect if the wheels were +38. But I love the new set up.

so on a lowered gen 1 would 225/45/18 work and would that be considered low profile?

No, but a 225/40 would work and a 225/35 is starting to be a lo-pro.
