What are the typical symptoms of a supercharged motor when the knock sensor begin to malfunction? My motor is acting like absolute crap, and when i floor it the car goes nowhere until the RPMs are about til 4K. Thanks for the help...

Check Engine Light is a big indicator.

And a huge loss of power. I really don't think a sputtering engine is caused by a bad knock sensor. Sounds more like a bad injector or fouled plugs.

oh well ive had the engine light on, I mean I know its that knock sensor because thats what it read on the scanner. My question was what exactly happens to the engine, retarded timing? misfiring? rich or lean fuel mixtures?
