He does not take electronic payment.

It may be wise to invest in a paypal account, I have gotten burned one too many times by sending someone a money order or personal check, I am a bit wary of it now... Id feel a lot more comfortable with some form of online payment.

I am interested, though.

I dont doubt your credibility, I have heard good things about the Jim's fuel mod and will probably still get one of these, just wondered what the deal was. thanks!

CamryOnBronze - While this is pure speculation, Jim might not take paypal because they can be a pain to deal with. Chargebacks can take forever to resolve, and for a legitimate business owner, its not worth dealing with. Also, Jim gives us very good prices on these items and the 3% paypal fee probally represents a large percentage of the profit margin (if there is any).

As a side note, I can personally vouch for Jim, as can many other members. He owns a car shop in Oregon and has been around since the beginning.

I paid for the fuel mod via check and have absolutely no complaints about the process.

Torque Rod

Postby PDX SuperSolara » Thu Apr 12, 2007 11:12 am

For the reasons sited above, we don't take electronic payments as all someone has to do is call their card company and suck the money back out of our account once they have the product which has happened and ruined that for everyone. There is almost no margin on the stuff I sell so that hurts. Make checks out to "Foreign Affairs" first come first served, but I will order more parts if the orders come in.
