Body Kit and Exterior performance .

[/b][size=12] Hey Every one . i am a new solara owner . well it was my moms car but she moved onto a lexus and the solara only had 80,000 miles in it .. she had scince 99 .. lol 99 solara , but yeah everything is stock but im going to go service it soon and my moms said can do waht ever after that but yeah i was like just wondering about some nice Body frames .. some Lightweight .. so i can fly dat bad boy .. or something too increase in HP .. so far the fastest i went in the car was 105. and got shakey.. lol need to get better steering and all but yeah in time .. or like what type of Exhaust too get or something espically if you live in hawaii .. give me a shout out . ok like i know some stuff like TRD exhaust and some stuff like that .. but i mean more along the lines of exterior . dont have the kind of money for increase in actual HP or engine performance maybe a muffler / exhaust and a body kit . but yeah hit me up and help a brotha out ahha my aim is Intox808 btw. so shoots Much love to all you Solara loverz , geee cause mines stock and i still love it ahah k peace.

welcome to SG, TRD muffler and kit for the gen 1 are difficult to find. id suggest lowering it, getting a kaminari kit with the current groupbuy, and finding a TRD rear sway bar. find a nice set of rims and enjoy driving one of the most reliable a greatest looking cars on the road!

There's not a whole lot you can do on a budget. Many (quality) parts are a bit expensive, so shop wisely. Don't waste your time on anything else but the Kaminari body kit. All those fiberglass kits maybe cheap to buy, but it'll cost you to put it on. There's alot of body work involved, so this will jack up the installation costs. I had a black widow kit, it ended up costing around $5k to install and paint. First, I'd definately look into suspension, Tokiko struts and Tein springs are among the best. If you could afford coilovers, they'd give you the best handling, but only 2 companies offer them, Tein and JIC Magic. Also, the TRD rear sway bar is probably the best bang for the buck. It'll give you that tight feeling going into turns. Anyways, feel free to ask more questions if you got them.

BTW - Stay away from those cheap ebay intakes!!! Stick with cp-e or Injen!

Furthermore, know that the body kits available for the Solara are 99% cosmetic. You won't get extra speed or horsepower out of them, any more than you'd get extra speed of horsepower out of an APC or StreetGlow sticker.

Welcome to SG! I'm from Hawaii too....Honolulu to be exact. What part of Hawaii you from? If you're on a tight budget, just get an aftermarket intake & exhaust system installed.

One more thing, I know it's probably a habit, but since there's not a whole bunch of Hawaii people here....you might want to use proper grammar and not "Pidgin."

im from hawaii too...nice to see more solaras...i only know of 3 in hawaii that is modifyed...
so if u see a silver gen 1 with trd kit and black rims or a red one with black rims say sup...
