Aotoyota,

Hope you don't mind me posting the pic, but I think it might entice more people to get in on this...

Getting closer... I can almost feel it in my hands...

A few questions... what kind of screws to use to install the sub to the box? Regular wood screws?

And also, is there any reason to NOT use this type of grill (in general or with a fiberglass box)?

and possibility of having a custom sub box like this made for a gen 1-1.5? i love the design and would definitely free up alot of space for me.

CK- as far as the grille, I think its more personal choice. I dont have a grille on mine, but I also use the cargo net and never have anthing pointy and able to roll back there. As for screws, Ill see if he can include some. but you will be responsible for mounting the subwoofer.

Sp33d- Where are you located? I can ask, actually who is interested in the GEN 1-1.5 group?

So... what displacement is that again? And is it intended to be sealed or ported? (Either?)

How are YOU setting it up?

Please post setup and result photos and opinion... I like the "stealth sub" opportunity here...

The box is just for sealed, ported boxes are too complicated because the subs+port length+volume changes all the time depending on the sub; displacement is about 1-1.25cu. ft

As for my setup?? It is currently under progress meaning that the backseat is out and panels are missing everywhere...Hoping to have it all done in the next two weeks or so. Will post pics when it gets done.

as for my setup starting from the front...

Alpine IVA-W205
KCE-300BT *bluetooth module
KCE-422I (iPOD full speed)
HD Radio
Sirius
Dynaudio 242
PXA-H701
PDX-1.1000 1kW rms
PDX-4.150 4x150 rms
SWR-1242D subwoofer
CD changer

cables: 14ga for the dynaudios; 12ga for the sub
2x Audioquest Diamondback RCAs 1m
2x Stinger Helix series 3m
4ga from the battery to the trunk

battery: Stinger 1200
cascade doors and soon to be trunk..

definitely interested for a gen 1 box, I have 2 12" kappa perfects...these would save a lot of weight and room from my current box. keep us up to date!

Sounds like you got a sick setup in the works. I love those new PDX amps too. How much did they run you? Also if I had one thing to critique it would probably be the 4ga wiring. From what I heard those amps are underrated so you'll probably be pushing closer to 2kW through 4ga wiring. No room to upgrade to 0 or even 1/0?

Actually the amps are very very efficient, Im thinking I might just do two 4ga which would deliver a bit more than a 0ga plus it would be easier to route.

i dont remember how much I got them for but cheap.
