I installed a set of the ebay ones last week, the only problem with them is the output quality, but Im planning a projector retro anyway... shouldnt have any problems other than the output.

I think there's a DIY guide in the Tutorials section.
This is the space where I should write something witty or clever, hoping to show some personality.

you shouldn't have problems...if you take it apart just make sure you get sealant in every crevice up front apply alot and then hack off excess with a exacto.

Why would headlight turn yellow?

i did it to my IS300 with no problems, just be careful and you should have no problems.. i didnt even use any silicone to seal it back up just used the same stuff that the factory put in there and no leaks at all in my headlights or foglights...

^^ Wasn't sealed properly, resulting in moister build which causes fogging in the headlights

I did the DIY.... the hardest part was taking off all the original seal because if u dont get all of it out then the pieces wont fit together right and thats when u cant seal it back correctly. Another thing is that after u seal it and test it to see if it is water proof (i dunked mine in a sink of water) make sure ur only dipping it up to where you resealed it b/c if u dip it deeper u'll get water seeping it through vents that are there on the sides... I'll put up pix later of what im talking about.

Heres some pics that I just took on my phone so pardon the quality...

Image

This is the pic of the final product, the lens looks cloudy and it is but thats because its really pitted and not from moisture.

Image

This is a pic of only a part of the reseal just to show how it pays of to throughly remove all and i mean all of the original Sealer. I recommend that after u take the light out of the oven, to take a flathead screwdriver and run it all the way around the groove where the sealer is. You do it when u take it out of the oven b/c that is when the sealant is still hot and gooey or else when it cools it gets tough.

Image

This last pic is from behind the headlight... What i circled is the vents that are there to let the moisture out of the headlight. When and if u open it there might be sum old dried out foam and thats why i just replaced it with sum cotton... all this done around this time last year. I hope this helps and if u need better resolution shots just lemme know and i'll get them for ya.
