supercharger question

I have a supercharger in my solara since Dec, Every thing was
great untill today when I got out of work I hit the pedal to pass a
a car and all of a sudden my car felt like it was losing power. As
soon as I hit 2nd gear it stopped jerking and the boost hit. I went
driving around stepping on the pedal to see if it will happen again,
but I it ran smooth. So later that day after it was parked for a few
hours I tried it again and it did the same thing as before. I don't
know what it can be. Is something wrong or is that normal??

Well, who installed the S/C? I would have toyota take a look, to make sure that everthing is O.K.
Explain more on the losing of power, there is no boost in first gear with the autos. With the EBC, it cuts boost in between shifts. Is that what your talking about?

A friend and I installed it, but the thing is it never did the jerking motion
before. It's just when I first drive off when my car starts to jerk it feels like I'm not accelorating, just staying in the same speed. But if I keep driving it's like it never happed.

Auto? Manual?

You are not "supposed" to have boost in first gear auto if you have the ebc.

If you have a smaller pulley either put back on stock or readjust the belt tensioner. Also there are belts available with lots of little teeth to help grip the pulley better. I believe bigflyjet has one.

i thought the s/c kits that came with the belt tensioner are spring loaded, thereby, eliminating the need for manual adjustment?
