?? about lowering and aftermarket wheels

I'm pretty sure i already know the answer to this, but i eventually want to lower my car and put some 17's...maybe 18's on it. I think 17's look kinda small on the solara but oh well. Anyways, for you guys that have it done, how much did it affect ride quality? On my old cav i had H&R springs (1.5in drop all the way around) and some 17's with 215/45-17s. I was pretty stiff, but liveable. I was slightly younger then, so ride quality wasn't a concern. Now that i have this, i guess i got spoiled, but it sits a lil too high for my taste. Any recommendations?

You think tires/wheels will have somthing to do with your ride quality?

If you want a good ride, drop it with both springs and aftermarket struts (Tokico sells on ebay for $320shipped) and find yourself a set of springs. I have stock wheels on mine right now and it looks fine. If anything going with a larger size rim and low profile tires you will just have to be even more careful around pot holes and such....hope that answered somthing.

compared to my lowered camry with springs, struts, and 17s, my solara rides smoother with the same setup. I think youll find the car to still be extremely comfortable and bearable...
