Interior Door Handle

Postby FLASH » Fri May 23, 2003 11:05 pm

Does anyone know how to remove the encasing for the door handle on the interior? Im talking about the part that surrounds the acutal handle and lock. There is a small mini door with a screw inside of it, both of which I removed [the door and screw] yet I still cant remove the piece. Will I have to take apart the door or antyhing crazy like that? Please Help!

Yeah, I tried the other day and had the same problem. It seems there is another screw or something keeping the panel from coming off.

I did that around 3 years ago when I was 16 haha...

If my memory serves me correct, there's no screw. I had to use a knife to hold something in place to take out the casing.

or was there 1 screw...

panel pullers do wonders! get one. or pry the door handle piece off by un-doing the top first. pry from the bottom, not the top of the piece.
