Well I got the new TB installed with my cpe. First impressions lots more power good upper end. The only problem is the idle is around 1000-1100 it is steady and smooth but high. I will post more tomorrow after I drive some more.

Have you ever dynoed or run your car at the track before doing this mod? Maybe we can see if it really does offer improvement. Also, is there any way you can adjust the idle screw to lower the idle?

I assure you the mod is awesome. Stop the focus on dyno and focus on street driveability and performance increase in that area after all you don't own a race car..

Hmm come to think of it. It seems to be another choke to all boosted solara just like the exhaust system is. Maybe we have once again gone to the next level. YESSSSSSSSSSSS .

I was just more concerned to the benefit to NA solaras, as I'm thinking about that and a TB spacer if it proves beneficial. Will be a while before I go boost.

PLUS ONE!

My SEAT-O-THE-PANTS dyno tells me ALL I NEED TO KNOW for those "more subtle" improvements that incrementally elevate the performance of my car....

...on another note... I might have figured out my Supra problem...

After a few days driving around with it I have decided a couple things.

1. I need to upgrade to the tunable version of the CPE sometimes I get weird lags right before 4k RPM

2. I need to either find a way to electronically change my idle or just live with it being a little high but very steady and smooth. Sorry for cellphone pic.

3. The extra power is very noticeable and it is a good mod

not to sound ignorant (but I am), but can someone tell me more about this?? I don't recall hearing about this TB and I'm very interested in it. Is this an aftermarket TB or some type of modification to our current one? thx!!!

It's the boring out of your present TB. Money well spent.

I'd say a week at the most, unless you do like I did and send them one you pick up somewhere.

I paid 175 + 10 for shipping. I also bought a spare of ebay so I could keep a stock around for when I sell the car that was 60
