my friends xb 2.0

Yea so my friend came into town to visit . and he drives a manual xb 2.0. Some limited addition thing. We'll he's always been an aggressive driver ever since he started driving. He just pushes his car regardless of what it is ... whether it be his mom's 99 corolla that he used to drive in high school or the xB he drives now... yea i know pushing an xB 
LOL i know.. but ehh ive learned to live with it. So i noticed that when he pushes his car when i ride with him, that its pretty fast for what it is... a big box with its small engine and the power that it puts out.
I looked up all the specs.. 108 hp 105 tq .. 0-60 9.8 LOL me and him were driving together somewhere and we hit a light. So i figured a little friendly race wouldnt hurt. We both know i was gonna win but what the hell.. so we went for it.
in my mind.. i have a pretty good amount of power over him with the v6.... lol so i should just blow him away but..
i dunno if it was just cuz my car is old (99 with 96k miles) or the automatic transmission sucks at launching... its not like i power braked either.. wasnt worth it. And i doubt his catback and CAI would give him that much power. But when we went at it, he hung with me til about 40 mph.. and i was like wtf.. shouldnt i be destroying him completely.. that just made me feel like i was slow.. i mean i know im not fast.. but damn .. am i that slow?!? I guess those dyno reading from the CPe site werent too far off. Off the top of my head it read around 132 WHP stock and with the intake 144 WHP. I didnt want to believe that was true =/ I looked at the dynos of the XB with the AEM CAI and DC exhaust and it came up with 88.6 WHP and 91.8 TQ
Bah whatever... and i just got done showing him the CPe. Seeing if he noticed the difference from when were in high school a couple years ago.
oh well... guess i have a long way to go. before i can even think about being somewhat fast. lol
