I just talked to one of my friends whose pretty knowledgable about cars and i asked him about the dilemma i'm having. I asked this before, but i wanted to make a new post about it. I'm definitely going to lower the car, but when i have to travel and the car is loaded down with all my stuff, i'm worried that the tires will rub once it's lowered. My friend said that he threaded his springs so he can raise and lower it when he wants to.(he's got an integra if your curious) I want to get the Eibach/Tokico combo based on what i've read here in the forums, but can i change the height of the springs once their installed so i wouldn't have to worry about rubbing when the cars loaded? or are the springs able to handle the added weight so i wouldn't rub? :-? Sorry this is so long and i apologize if i don't get back right away. I've had to resort to using the library computers. THX

you cannot adjust the height of the springs, they come with a preset height and that is what its going to stay at, I beleive its something 1.6" for the eibach. If you want something you can adjust get the coilovers (they are much more expensive). How much weight are you planning on having in the car?

get coilovers... A LOT more expensive, but they are adjustable for when you know you will be hauling massive weight

I don't know how easily adjustable they are, but they are adjustable.

if you have a tire size greater than 215, you will run the chance of rubbing, esp if you are lowerd and if you have the car weighed down.

the stuff i'm looking into putting into the car is like a trunk, tv, luggage, stuff like that...just the bear essentials really. That is pretty funny jello, i never really thought of that, but i'm sure guys on here have lowered their car and filled it up with people and no rubbing. Funny though  i was looking to get 225/40/18, i think that's what it is, if i remember correctly, with 7.5 width. I was looking at Konig Tantrum's with the 45 offset. Just throwing this out there to see if this would rub with the car weighted down. Thanks for the imput guys.

I dont rub with even 5 people in the car. I have the tokico/eibach setup, and without anything in my car, im still tucking on all four sides.

Think of it as negative wheelgap. The very top of my tires aren't visable, they're covered by the wheelwell. ALTHOUGH, most tokico/eibach setups are not this low, something is different with mine. And no, I did not cut my springs.
