I honestly am interested in bixenons, but I'd rather wait for the first group to get thier's sucessfully, be happy with thier purchase and pay a little extra in the next batch.
BTW for all the questions about temperature.
Lower temp = More visible light, more yellow color, and less glare, cuts through fog and rain better.
Higher temp = Less visible light, more blue/purple color, more glare, and is worse at shining through fog/rain.
For a basis of camparison,
All stock Halogen is 3200K
Silverstars are 4000K
All stock HIDs are 4000K-4200K (the blue/purple you see is not from the light, it is from the projector)
Natural sunlight is around 4000K-6500K, depending on time of day and weather.
Black light is 12000K (Deep purple, and almost no usable light)
HIDs are still brighter than halogens which have a naturally lower temperature, because they also put out about 3x more light, but at the same amount of light output from the source, the visible light output decreases as temperature goes up. One source says 4000K puts out 20% more lumens than 6000K.
Also, if you do have state inspection, its advised to take these out before inspection. Strictly speaking, installing HIDs into a vehicle that doesnt have them stock, that is to be used for road use, is illegal. Whether or not this is enforced is a different topic, but if someone is there who is paid specifically to inspect your car, they would probably fail you due to this.
