I sometimes wonder how and why people come up with such vague statements on this board and expect people to answer their posts.

First. Which do you own? Camry or solara v6?>
second. WTF are u talking abt...problems? problems with what?

LOL. No problems to report other than sludging and thats only if you don't change your oil and filter.

I hear ya man. All it takes is one ride in someone elses car and I want mine back. This is a great car. There may be faster cars, there may be better looking cars, there may be cheaper cars to mod, but the Solara is a great car for the money.

The 1mz-fe V6 was introduced in 1994 or maybe sooner in the Lexus 300 ES. This engine has made Ward's top ten list for best engine and has been called the smoothest V6 on the planet. Toyota has employed the 1mz-fe in Camry v6, All ist gen Siennas, Avalon, Lexus RX & ES 300's and Solara V6. So based on the volume and Toyota's reputation YOU make up your mind about the Solara V6.

The Ward's award was back I think in 96 or 97. The 1mz-fe is at the end of its cycle and I believe the 3mz-fe (3.3) will succeed it in future Toyota & Lexus models.

You obviously haven't done enough research on this platform. 1MZ-FE was first introduced in the MY 1994 Camry and ES300 first. It was also the first production engine in the world to meet OBDII standards. I've driven a 95 1MZ-FE powered Avalon to 105,000 miles and up to 82k on my 99 SE V6 5spd Solara.
